Hiring a KiwiRail Container

Did you know that KiwiRail has a dedicated fleet of containers that are available for you to hire?

With 2 working days' notice, we can get a container to any of our CT sites for you to load up. We can also deliver the container straight to your door.

How to Hire a Container

1. Start by Creating your Booking as normal.

2. When you get to the Equipment Details section, tick the “KiwiRail Supplied” box.

   

3. Fill in the rest of your equipment details and click Service Details.

4. On the Service Details page you’ll have a few more options than you normally do.

   

   These options are:

   1. KiwiRail equipment to be available for hire by: This is the date you want the container to be ready at the origin CT by. Remember to give us 2 working days to get the container in place to hire

   2. Request Empty Delivery: If you’d like us to deliver the empty container to you and then pick it up once you’ve loaded it, enter the details here:
      

      

      Click “Request Road Service” once you’ve entered in all of your details.

   3. Request Empty Return: If you’d like us to drop the loaded container off and then pick it up once you’ve emptied it, enter the details (Same as above). Click “Request Road Service” once you’ve entered in the details.

Make sure you give yourself enough time between the delivery and pickup to load/unload the container. Our road partners will still charge for a dead run if they show up and you’re not ready for them.
