Getting Started with Web Preadvice

The first step to getting started with Web Preadvice is to get an account. Reach out to our Customer Delivery team to get this set up.

Get a Preadvice Account

Once you’ve reached out to our team, we’ll create your account and give you a username and password to access the system.

Unlike our Rail Freight Portal, your entire site will share these credentials. They’re based on your branch information rather than individual users.

Make sure you keep this password somewhere safe as you will use it every time you need to preadvise your freight.

Log On to Web Preadvice

Note: Web Pre-advice is a completely different system to the Rail Freight Portal. You need a separate account to access Web Preadvice. The username will not be your email address.

To log on to Web Preadvice, go to https://www.kiwirailfreight.co.nz/freight-hub/gating/.

Make sure you bookmark this address, not the address it takes you to once you’ve logged in.

Use the username and password that the KiwiRail Customer Delivery team gave you to log in. If you don’t have a preadvice account reach out to us and we’ll create one for you.

KiwiRail cannot see your password and we will never ask you for it.
If you have forgotten your password, we will need to change it to something else for you.
